Import Autodesk Fusion360 files

Luckily Autodesk Fusion’s One-Click Manufacturing Export is natively supported by us! This makes importing your project super simple. If you are looking for Autodesk Eagle, click here.

Design Rule File

We offer an Fusion360 Design Rule File which includes our layer stackup and all necessary design rules. Have a look at our Github.

How to import a Autodesk Fusion 360 project

Step 1

Open your project in Fusion 360 and select the “Manufacturing” tab on the top navigation bar.

Step 2

Click the “One-Click Manufacturing Export” button (marked with green below) and confirm with “OK”.

Step 3

Export the IPC Netlist using the button marked in orange.

Step 4

Export Pick and Place file using the button next to the Step 3 button.

Step 5

Create a ZIP archive including IPC, PnP and ZIP file.

Final step

Upload the ZIP file created in the last step (not the ZIP created by Fusion 360!) to a new project.

How is this third file, the ZIP file, created? Is it necessary to have a zip file inside a zip file?
Or is it enough to just zip the files from step 2 with the ipc and mnt file?

And how to set the MPN and manufacturer data for the components automatically?
Should this data be included in the mnt file somehow?

The first question is answered, the ZIP file is read in step 2.
But how are the MPN and manufacturer data for the components transferred?
In which file should this data appear and in which format?

Why can’t I just upload a fusion board file? Gerbers add extra complexity.

There have been Issues with the direct file import.
