Hello, I have finished my design and tried to place my order (or at least have a quote of it). I am going to place an order with ‘‘Beautiful board’’ and ‘‘Amazing Assembly’’, which means that I would like to first have the PCB done and then every components mounted. But the platform said that I haven’t assign any parts yet. I thought all the information about the parts is already contained in the kicad designing, otherwise the gerber file would not be exported successfully right ? So which information is still needed ? Thanks.

We are reading the MPN automatically, but if we don’t have an exact match, we do not assign it. This could be because the distributor provides a slightly different MPN, or we have multiple entries in our database.
You can assign the components manually in our BOM tool if that is the case.
