How to exclude a specific designator from assembly

In my design I have a 4.7uF capacitor that’s not populated, while two others are to be included.

C45 is marked DNP in my KiCAD design, but I can’t seem to figure out how to exclude C45 while keeping C43 and C46 populated in my assembly order.

Is there a way through the web interface to DNP individual designators instead of excluding all the designators associated with a part number?

Hi there!

You can do that by selecting the individual view in the BOM editor.
We should, however, honor the settings from KiCad, so one does not have to do that manually.

@Tim-from-AISLER could you please take a look at this?

If it helps resolve why the DNP parts weren’t auto excluded, here’s details about my KiCAD version.

Hi there,

Thank you for the information. We looked into it, and right now we don’t process the flag set by Kicad. Our devs are working on it

We now process the DNP flag correctly. And when a component is set to “Exclude from BOM” it won’t be displayed in the BOM tool at all now. This change is live for uploading .kicad_pcb files and soon also available in the Push to AISLER plugin.
