LABO 404 - Robotix & Eurobot

What is your proudest achievement?

Honestly, it was seeing our custom robot electronics boot up and run flawlessly during the matches. We had the opportunity to run extensive testing phases before the competition. Thanks to this rigorous preparation, even though our final results at Eurobot weren’t exactly what we hoped for, we didn’t experience a single hardware failure on the table. Having a reliable electronic base validated by our tests was a huge win for the team’s confidence. Actually designing and manufacturing your own boards is the absolute best way to practice and level up your engineering skills.

What’s something that went wrong?

We had a classic “Mirror World” moment! We accidentally flipped the footprint of one of our sensor connectors. We caught it during our test sessions and had to fix it by soldering tiny jumper wires (dead-bug style). It looked a bit messy, but it worked! It definitely taught us to triple-check our component orientation in KiCad before sending it to production.

Our favorite AISLER experience: Support & Responsiveness

What really stood out to us this season was the AISLER support team. Whenever a question or a minor issue came up during our intensive testing and ordering cycles, their team was incredibly understanding, helpful, and fast to respond. Knowing you have a responsive team backing you up when deadlines are tight makes a huge difference for a student project.

Conclusion

We are already analyzing our test data and working on the next robot for the 2027 season. AISLER remains a highly efficient partner for our workflow, and we are looking forward to designing and practicing on our next boards with them!
