Loading project revision (KiCAD) doesn't update part footprint descriptions

Loading a project revision from .kicad_pcb file doesn’t update the footprint descriptions in the parts list.
Is this the expected behavior?

Indeed, changes to the footprint should be reflected in the BOM. I will forward this issue internally.
