today we received a batch of 6 board where one board has some issue with the smart test. We see no visual mark on any board, so we need to recheck all boards. I would be surprised if the E-Checking machine has no way to visual mark boards with issues. Please deliver boards with smart test error with some visual mark!
Next week I expect 42 board. Should we recheck all 42 boards if there is some board with smart test problems?
We are constantly improving our Smart Tests to provide you the best direct feedback to iterate on your design and achieve a high manufacturability. As you mentioned, it is for larger quantities at this moment not ideal. Unfortunately, the marking of boards by the checking machine is not as straight-forward as one might expect. Nevertheless, we are currently working on a better solution to reduce your work.
I am happy to report that the visual marking is now active since a while.
