The prototype stencil is the default format for our stencils
Prototype Stencil Dimensions
We add a certain margin around the PCB dimensions so that it is easy to place the stencil and keep it level. The margins have the following dimensions:
- Top (a): ≥ 25.0 mm (0.98 in)
- Bottom (b): 35.0 mm (1.38 in)
- Left and right (c): 15.0 mm (0.59 in)
PCBs with a width less than 40 mm (1.57 in) get wider horizontal margins (c) to ensure a min. stencil width of d = 70 mm (2.76 in).
