Parts being sent along, when ordering assembled PCBs

In the Our Simple Pricing Topic, in the first paragraph below the Heading “Amazing Assembly” it says: "We will purchase all parts for your convenience and send them along. "

My question is: What does “all parts” include? In the BOM, for my project, I only see a section of assigned Components and a section for excluded ones. Because there is no warning for excluded parts that aren’t assigned I assume those wont be sent along.
All of the components in the assigned section seem to also be the ones that will be assembled on the PCB(at least I havent found a way to exclude them from just the assembly).
That leaves no components that could be sent “along”.

I am probably misunderstanding something or I have missed something somewhere.

Thanks in advance

Hi Robin!

Thanks for reaching out to us in our community and for the question.

We will order and assemble the parts that you actively assigned in your BOM and did not exclude. However, we always order the parts to your order and optimize the required part quantities according to current pricing and availability with our ditributor partners and possible requirements for the assembly process .

This means, that we often order a bit more parts than actually needed and if all goes well, these parts are not required in the assembly process. As this is calculated automatically and factored in during checkout, you payed for all the parts, these left over parts will be sent along the assembly to you.

We currently do not offer to order parts that will not be assembled. However, you can always ask our Sales Team for a custom quote and specify your needs.

I hope this helps and cleares up the questions. I will ping my colleagues to check the article again and possibly update the respective section.

If you have any more questions, feel free to respond here or drop us a call or mail.

Cheers,
